Minterne House gardens and Athelhampton: The 18th century woodland gardens of Minterne House feature a series of small lakes, waterfalls and streams surrounded by specimen shrubs and rare trees. The historic walled gardens of Athelhampton House have an octagonal cloister garden and the Great Court is dominated by 12 yew pyramids. Abbotsbury and Bennetts Water Garden: Once a castle kitchen garden, Abbotsbury now encompasses rare and exotic plants from around the world. Bennetts Water Garden is home of the National Plant Collection of water lilies. Kedlestone Hall Garden: This fine example of an informal 18th-century landscape created by neoclassical architect Robert Adam, includes a lake, ha-ha, temples and follies. Buxton Pavilion Gardens: The Victorian Gardens first opened in 1871 and were restored in 2004. The natural landscape includes pavilions and bandstands. Haddon Hall: The restoration of this medieval manor house and gardens began in the 1920s, and continues today, with planting designed to create a romantic scheme utilising roses and cottage garden flowers.
