Perhaps see squacco heron, Andalusia is a haven for wildlife Donaña National Park Globales Reina Cristina glossy ibis and calandra lark, as well as waders, gulls and terns. You may even spot one of the newest birds on the Spanish list, the little swift. La Brena and Barbate Marshes Natural Park: This area, south-west of Cadiz, comprises several ecosystems and is used by breeding species such a yellow-legged gull, jackdaw, cattle egret and peregrine falcon. The area was also selected to reintroduce an extremely rare bird, the Northern bald ibis. Sierra de Grazalema: The Grazalema Natural Park is a paradise for walkers, birdwatchers and photographers. You'll also visit the Penon de Zaframagon where the largest colony of griffin vultures in Europe can be found ­ other birds found in this location include, the eagle owl, blue rock thrush and black wheatear among others.
