NEW The port town of Hvar ACTIVITY LEVEL Day 1: UK to Vodice, Croatia. After meeting your group at the airport, fly to Split airport and then transfer to Vodice. Spend the next four nights at the locally rated 4-star Hotel Punta, set on the Sibenik Riviera and offering impressive views across the Adriatic Sea. Look forward to a welcome drink and dinner this evening, where you can get to know your fellow travellers. D Day 2: Vodice. This morning enjoy a half-day walking tour of Vodice. Founded during Roman times, the town has evolved from a quiet village to a vibrant tourist destination. The town was under Venetian rule from the 15th-18th centuries, with the town's architecture still displaying Italian influences today. Spend the afternoon at leisure, and perhaps relax on one of the towns delightful pebble beaches with shallow waters perfect for a dip! B, L, D Day 3: Vodice. Spend today at leisure or join an optional excursion to the Krka Waterfalls. Spend today at leisure or join an optional excursion to the UNESCO-listed city of Sibenik. B, L, D Day 5: Vodice-Korcula. After breakfast, embark on a scenic transfer to the island of Korcula by catamaran. Cruise the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic through an archipelago of over a thousand beautiful islands swathed in fragrant pine groves, flowers and herbs. Cruise past the Peljesac Peninsula where you can view hilltops clad with vineyards and fruit trees as you arrive in Korcula town. Transfer to the locally rated 4-star Hotel Marko Polo where you'll stay for seven nights. The hotel has a fabulous hilltop location, surrounded by green wooded hills that sweep down to the sparkling water's edge, and is within walking distance of the old town. B, L, D Day 6: Korcula. Today join an included half day walking tour of Korcula old town. Your tour guide will show you the town that claims to be the birthplace of Marco Polo, which in medieval times fell under the rule of the Venetian Republic. You'll see the glorious architecture dating from this period, including the walls that encircle the old town, the towers that defend it, and the Gothic-Renaissance cathedral. B, L, D Day 7: Korcula. Spend today at leisure or join an optional excursion to the town of Vela Luka. B, L, D Day 8: Korcula. Today is free to spend at leisure. Perhaps make the most of the hotel's facilities or head back to the mainland on an optional excursion to Dubrovnik. B, L, D Day 9: Korcula. Spend today at leisure or join an optional excursion taking you over the border into neighbouring Bosnia-Herzegovina to the history town of Mostar. B, L, D Day 10: Korcula. Continue relaxing on the Korcula's peaceful shores, or perhaps join an optional excursion to the nearby island of Mljet to explore the national park. B, L, D Day 11: Korcula. Spend another day at leisure or learn more about Korcula's vineyards and wine production on an optional excursion. B, L, D Day 12: Korcula-Hvar. After breakfast, enjoy another catamaran transfer to the island of Hvar. Characterised by vineyards, olive groves and endless fields of lavender, Hvar is often listed as one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Spend the next three nights at the locally rated 3-star Hotel Senses located on the outskirts of the charming town of Vrboska, established as a fishing village in the 15th century.
