Fly to Tbilisi for a two-night stay. Day 2: Tbilisi. Join a walking tour of Tbilisi. B, D Day 3: Kazbegi. Travel to Mtskheta to explore the Jvari monastery, Svetitskhoveli cathedral and Samtavro convent. Visit the Ananuri fortress complex in the Caucasus Mountains then continue to Kazbegi for a two-night stay. B, L, D Day 4: Kazbegi. Ascend to 14th-century Gergeti Trinity church by 4X4s, then back to Kazbegi for a cookery demonstration and lunch with a local family. Drive to the Dariali Canyon and walk to the Gweleti waterfalls. B, L, D Day 5: Tbilisi. Travel to the village of Chardakhi, visit a Qvevri winery and enjoy a typical Georgian lunch. Return to Tblisi. B, L Day 6: Tbilisi. A full-day tour visits the Shuamta Monastery complex and Alaverdi cathedral, followed by wine tasting and lunch. Continue to the Tsinandali estate to explore an archaeological site, then visit Signagi. Enjoy dinner and wine at the `Pheasant's Tears' winery, accompanied by Georgian folk singing. B, L, D Day 7: Haghpat. Explore Tbilisi and stop at the 10th-century Akhtala Monastery en route to Haghpat for an overnight stay. B, L, D Day 8: Dilijan. Visit the UNESCO-listed Haghpat Monastery. Continue to the Armenian basilica in Odzun and take afternoon tea with locals in a Molokan village. Stay overnight in Dilijan. B, L, D Day 9: Jermuk. Travel to Lake Sevan and visit Sevanavank monastery. Continue to the Noraduz cemetery and the Caravanserai of Selim before lunch in the town of Yeghegnadzor. Proceed to Jermuk for a two-night stay. B, L, D Day 10: Jermuk. Today's tour starts at Karahunge, a 7,500 year-old stone circle, then continues to Tatev Monastery, reached by cable car. B, L Day 11: Yerevan. Visit a 6,100 year-old archaeological excavation of a winery,13th-century Noravank monastery and the Khor Virap Monastery complex on today's tour. Continue to Yerevan for a three-night stay. B, L, D Day 12: Yerevan, Echmiadzin, Zvartnots. Visit Echmiadzin and continue to the UNESCO-listed Zvartnots Cathedral. Return to Yerevan for a cookery demo, lunch in the Megerian Carpet Museum and a tour. Then visit the Ararat Brandy Factory and the Armenian genocide memorial.
