Ranthambore National Park Ranthambore National Park was Rajasthan's first tiger reserve and is one of the largest national parks in northern India. Although home to a host of wildlife including leopards, hyenas, deer, crocodiles and more, it is most famous for its tiger population. Until the 1950s the area was a hunting ground for the Maharajas of Jaipur, which meant that it was protected at a time when other forested areas were being destroyed. As a result, together with the work of `Project Tiger' in the 1970s, the park's famous and majestic tigers were able to survive. Getting You There Prices are based on Virgin Atlantic from Heathrow.
