It covers some 20,000 square kilometers, and is home to a staggering 507 species of birds and 147 species of mammals. In addition to Africa's famous `Big 5' buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and rhino the park's residents include giraffe, hippos, zebra and more, which hopefully you'll see on four included game drives within the park. Kruger is also known for its numerous cultural heritage sites, including those relating to evidence of prehistoric man. You can also look forward to a further two game drives through the private Mjejane Reserve. Your game drives will be guided by the lodge's friendly and experienced expert rangers who will help provide you with the experience of a lifetime! As well as game drives, enjoy spending a full day in Kruger National Park visiting Skukuza Rest Camp, situated on the southern shore of the Sabie River with its museum relating to the history of the park and its founders. You can also look forward to a half-day visit to Chimp Eden, situated in the Umhloti Nature Reserve and part of the Jane Goodall Institute.
