ACTIVITY LEVEL Day 1: UK-Hurghada. Fly to Hurghada where you are met and taken to the Radisson Blu Resort in Quseir for a two-night stay. The free bar, open from 12 noon to 11pm, serves a selection of local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. D Day 2: Quseir. Spend some time relaxing on the beach and enjoying the hotel's facilities. An included half-day tour of Quseir today will show you the 13th-century mosque, the Italian church and the famous fortress of Quseir, to which admission is included too. B, L, D Day 3: Quseir-Luxor. Travel to Luxor where you board your river cruise ship, Livingstone, for a seven-night cruise along the Nile. Perhaps join an optional horse-drawn carriage tour. B, L, D Day 4: Luxor-Edfu. Tour the West Bank and the tombs of the famous Valley of the Kings. You will then visit Tutankhamun's Tomb and can also explore the Two Colossi of Memnon and Hatshepsut Temple. Later, cruise to Edfu where you moor overnight. B, L, D Day 5: Edfu to Kom Ombo to Aswan. Cruise to Kom Ombo to see one of the country's most spectacular temples. The temple is unusual as it is dedicated to two gods, Haroeris and Sobek. Moor in Aswan for the next three nights. B, L, D Day 6:Aswan. Visit the the Aswan High Dam then travel by boat to Agilka Island where the Temple of Philae was relocated. This afternoon, visit the Nubian Museum. Optional evening excursion to the Sound and Light Show at Philae Temple. B, L, D Day 7: Aswan. Day at leisure, or optional visit to the famous Temple of Ramses II at Abu Simbel. The four, 21-metre high seated figures of Ramses II guard the temple's facade and this ancient rock-hewn temple is one of the most impressive monuments in Nubia. This afternoon sail across the Nile by traditional felucca to the beautiful botanical gardens on Kitchener's Island. B, L, D Day 8: Aswan to Luxor. Enjoy the day sailing back to Luxor. B, L, D Day 9: Luxor. On an included excursion you can explore the ancient Temples of Karnak and Luxor. B, L, D Day 10: Luxor to Quseir. Disembark your ship. Travel back to Quseir for a further five nights at the Radisson Blu Resort. B, L, D Days 11-14: Quseir. Make the most of the hotel's excellent facilities, explore Quseir independently or take advantage of the hotel's fabulous setting on the Red Sea, which is perfect for sunbathing, swimming and snorkelling.
